Working in graphite, ink, and watercolour, Robert’s practice is rooted in observation and storytelling. He is particularly drawn to the permanence of ink and the uncertainty that comes with committing to the first marks on the page.
Each illustration begins with a story. Whether drawing from imagination or sketching a stranger in a coffee shop, his work is guided by a sense of narrative, atmosphere, and reflection.
