art of Halifax, Nova Scotia
With its British colonial history dating back to 1749, Halifax is a coastal city with beautiful historic buildings and sites. In 2015, my daughter and I became concerned by the number of new developments under construction in the older sections of town, and I decided to paint some of our favourite sites, buildings, and structures before they disappeared.
Nova Scotia is part of the Mi’kma’ki, the ancestral and unceded territory of the Mi’kmaq People.
